DELMIAWorks (IQMS) Business Development Representative

Ede, Netherlands


As a Business Development Representative (BDR) for DELMIAWorks, your primary focus will be identifying new leads and together with the field sales team converting them into customers. As a BDR, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, contacting, and developing new prospects for DELMIAWorks manufacturing ERP software.

This position allows for hybrid working, and is based out of our Ede, Netherlands office.

The ideal candidate for this BDR position is someone with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, driven by results and motivated to exceed targets. Someone who is patient for a sometimes longer sales cycle with detailed follow-up necessary to determine the needs and fit of prospective clients. Organization, time management, and a customer-focused approach are essential, along with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to achieve goals.


-  Research and identify potential leads within the manufacturing industry who could benefit from DELMIAWorks ERP.
-  Initiate outbound sales activities such as cold calling, emailing, trade-fair visits, online marketing, and networking to engage with decision-makers and influencers at potential leads.
-  Present the value proposition of DELMIAWorks, highlighting its features and benefits tailored to the specific needs of manufacturing businesses.
-  Qualify leads by understanding their manufacturing processes, pain points, and objectives, and positioning DELMIAWorks as the solution.
-  Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads and support ongoing sales efforts.
-  Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions and activities in our CRM system, tracking progress and follow-up actions.
-  Meeting or exceeding activity metrics for both inbound and outbound calls, demonstrating a proactive approach to lead generation.


-  Proven experience in inside sales or lead generation, preferably in the software or manufacturing industry.
-  Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and challenges, with the ability to articulate how DELMIAWorks addresses these needs.
-  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
-  Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
-  Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-  Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. (HBO / University)
-  Excellent communication skills in both the Dutch and English languages
-  Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and activities to maximize productivity.
-  A self-starter mentality with a drive to take initiative and achieve set goals.
-  A competitive spirit, coupled with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
-  Proven track record of consistently achieving quotas.
-  Hands-on experience with various sales techniques, including phone cold calls, video, email, and social touches.
